Content Guide for books by Anabelle Raven

People often ask me if my books are are "clean" or how much romance is in them. "Clean fantasy" has so many different meanings to different people, so I made this Content Guide to help you make more informed decisions about what you choose to read.

Romance: 

   * My books never have open-door s3x scenes.

   * Kisses in my books are sweet and swoony. They DO NOT describe swimsuit areas, tongues, or teeth, but THEY MAY be emotionally charged, filled with tension and longing, and include touching faces, arms, backs, and other non-swimsuit areas.
   * Sweet touches in my books do not include swimsuit areas, but may include a hand on a man's clothed chest.

Language:

    * My books DO NOT have swear words. They MAY HAVE made-up swearing like "Sands!" or "Flaming rivers!"

Violence:

     Many of my books have fantasy violence, including swordfights, knife fights, bow and arrow attacks, war, death, torture, magic, and others. When these occur, they are integral to the story, and I do my best to handle them with care because I know many people are sensitive to them.

     

     I avoid gratuitous violence and gore. I do not include any violence simply for the sake of including it.

     In my books, good always conquers evil and our heroes and heroines are always stronger with love than hate.
